PSB's Reading Comprehension Examination is designed to reveal the student's understanding of what is read. A knowledge of the student's reading comprehension level will enable better perception of the student as a learner and better interpretation of the student's adjustment reactions in the learning process and learning situations.

The test samples essential functional elements of comprehension of what is read. The Reading Comprehension test can be used separately, or along with other test instruments. It serves as a valuable adjunct to other modes of testing, since many failures of bright, motivated, energetic students may be attributed to poor reading comprehension skills. The results can be helpful in providing insight into the student's academic performance difficulties and determining need for counseling or remediation.
